Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has once again stirred up the age-old debate of Ghana Jollof versus Nigerian Jollof, boldly asserting her allegiance to the latter. During a recent podcast, Baci shared her experience of tasting Ghana Jollof and confidently declared it inferior to Nigerian Jollof.

Having engaged in a cooking competition with a Ghanaian chef, Baci expressed her opinion, stating, “Nigerian Jollof is actually better than Ghana Jollof.” According to her, the key difference lies in the flavor, emphasizing that Nigerians prioritize building rich and flavorful dishes.

These remarks have reignited the social media-fueled Jollof war, with Ghanaians responding critically to Baci’s perspective. One user questioned the correlation between cooking for extended hours and the ability to prepare good food, while another playfully jabbed at Baci’s cooking methods.

Notably, Hilda Baci recently lost her Guinness World Record title for the longest cooking marathon, officially conceding the record to Alan Fisher.
