With the 2023 presidential election just a week away, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, General Overseer of Christ Embassy Church, has shared his thoughts on the candidates.
Mr. Oyakhilome revealed what an “Angel of God” told him about the leading candidates at the Loveworld Praise-action on Friday.
In particular, the cleric distinguished between the three major candidates in the upcoming election and stated that the name of Nigeria’s next president is written in the Bible.
Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party are the front-runners in Saturday’s presidential election.
A Demon, A Thief, A Saint
Introducing the first candidate, The first candidate, according to the 59-year-old cleric, was under the influence of the devil.
“He is not his true self. He is under the spell of the devil. “The devil was mocking and laughing at Nigerians.”
“The devil is employing him. It’s a demon of darkness, a mocker. “The devil has given him the name jackal.”
“A jackal is a trickster, a swindler who usually works on the behalf of another to deceive. Nigeria is being mocked by this demon. But he’s been disconnected.”
The second candidate claimed that a spiritual prophecy revealed him to be a thief who would bring the country to its knees.
“In the spirit of the second candidate, if he is elected, you will have no country. “You’d sell your country,” he said.
On the final candidate, he revealed that, despite the fact that his name is in the Bible, he is afraid of winning but does not want to lose.
The third candidate, in the spirit, was afraid of winning. He didn’t want to lose, but he was terrified of succeeding. Then I prayed, “Lord, give him wings to fly; his name is written in the Bible.” He stated
He asked if his members had received a PVC as he concluded the political discussions. “I hope you got your PVC?” he asked.
Reactions
Following the clergy’s predictions, Nigerians have taken to social media to deduce the candidates he refers to as “being under the influence of a devil”, “the thief who would run the country down”, and “one whose name is in the Bible”.
Only Peter Obi, one of the three candidates listed above, shares a name with a biblical character who was one of Jesus’ disciples.
