The physical altercation took place in December after a dispute over a paternity test, according to the arrest affidavit that TMZ obtained.
The woman reported to Georgia police that “Magnolia” rapper Jordan Carter, real name Jordan Carter, grabbed her by the throat, pushed her, and held her neck until she could hardly breathe. She informed the police that she believed she would pass away.
She had been living with Carti since July 2022 and they had been dating for two years. At the time of the alleged incident on December 20, she was 14 weeks pregnant.
The attempt by the woman to confront Carti regarding the paternity test resulted in an altercation and a physical assault. She claims that Carti attacked her once more as she ran to her car after a witness attempted to break up the fight.
She claims that when she tried to use the car’s SOS feature to call the police, Carti tried to pull her out of the vehicle and cover her mouth. The woman had visible injuries to her neck, chest, and back, according to the police report.
Carti was taken into custody on December 29 for felony aggravated assault and later released.
His legal representative asserts that his client is innocent and will be cleared. “Mr. Carter was accused in error. According to our conversations, there won’t be any prosecution or legal action in this case, according to Brian Steel’s correspondence with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office.
Iggy Azalea, who was once engaged to Carti and shares a son with him, appeared to react after the report.

Iggy claimed in December 2020 that Carti had cheated on her while she was expecting and that he had been a bad father, missing their son’s first Christmas. Onyx, the former couple’s 2-and-a-half-year-old son, is their child.
