American rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, was reportedly arrested Thursday night in Florida on serious charges involving a murder-for-hire scheme. Currently being held without bail at Broward County Jail, plans are underway to transfer him to U.S. Marshals, according to reports from XXL Magazine.

This arrest follows the earlier detention of five others, all facing charges related to murder-for-hire and conspiracy. These charges are connected to the 2022 shooting of Saviay’a Robinson, cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, in Los Angeles, which authorities suspect is part of ongoing gang conflicts.

Federal prosecutors identified the other suspects as Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, who allegedly sought retaliation against Quando Rondo for his suspected role in the 2020 killing of Chicago rapper King Von in Atlanta.

Reports from Baller Alert suggest that affiliates of Lil Durk’s circle, known as OTF, had placed a bounty on Quando Rondo. However, during the incident, Rondo’s cousin, known as Lul Pab, was the one killed. Allegedly, OTF members used a credit card linked to the record label to book flights from Chicago to California after learning Rondo’s whereabouts.

DJ Akademiks shared the news on social media, posting Lil Durk’s mugshot and a caption: “Breaking: Lil Durk has been arrested by U.S. Marshals and is currently held in Broward County Correctional Facility until his extradition to California. He’s facing a Federal Charge of ‘Murder for Hire’ related to the death of Quando Rondo’s cousin, ‘Lul Pab.’”
