Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared uplifting news on Monday, announcing she has completed her chemotherapy treatment following a surprise cancer diagnosis earlier this year.

In heartfelt messages posted on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, the 42-year-old royal expressed relief, saying, “I can’t begin to explain how much of a relief it is to have finished my chemotherapy.” She acknowledged that the last nine months had been an incredibly challenging time for her and her family, including her husband Prince William and their children, Prince George (11), Princess Charlotte (9), and Prince Louis (6).

A photograph, recently released by Kensington Palace, shows Catherine walking through a field in Norfolk, symbolizing her strength and perseverance throughout her health journey.

“Life can change in an instant,” she reflected. “We’ve had to learn how to navigate these stormy waters.” Catherine emphasized that staying cancer-free is now her primary focus, although her recovery journey is ongoing.

“While the chemotherapy is behind me, the road to full recovery will take time. I’m taking it one day at a time,” she added. She also hinted at gradually returning to royal duties, saying, “I’m eager to get back to work and hope to attend a few more public engagements soon.”

Catherine first revealed in March that she was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” for a previously undisclosed type of cancer. The news came shortly after King Charles III, her father-in-law, was also diagnosed with cancer.

King Charles, now 75, resumed his public duties in April after his doctors were encouraged by his positive progress.
