Nollywood actress Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, has reportedly been remanded in Keffi Prison following an order by a Dutse Magistrate Court.

Sources reveal that the remand took place on Thursday, with Sammy allegedly denied access to legal representation.

His brother, Sweezy, expressed his frustration on Instagram, claiming that the magistrate handling the case had “suddenly disappeared,” preventing Sammy’s bail from being processed.

In his emotional post, Sweezy questioned the reason behind his brother’s detention and shared how Sammy was allegedly not allowed to reach his lawyers after being taken into custody.

“He’s currently at Keffi Prison. The magistrate handling his case has disappeared. Ned, you can pay everyone, but you can’t buy integrity. Sammy is in prison,” Sweezy wrote.

He went on to say that their lawyers were on the way when the situation took an unexpected turn.

“The judge said he should remain there until bail could be filed. Now, bail has been filed, but no one is available to sign it. You just want him to experience prison? Ned, you can pay everybody, but you can’t pay for integrity. You can’t be bigger than God.”

It would be recalled that Sammy West was earlier arrested in Lagos on Monday following a report allegedly filed by Senator Ned Nwoko. He was later transferred to Abuja, where the case took a more complicated turn.

The situation continues to stir public concern, as many await clarity on the charges and circumstances surrounding Sammy’s detention.
