Jamie Vardy and Wife Targeted in £80,000 Italian Burglary

Jamie Vardy and his wife, Rebekah, were left shaken after burglars broke into their Italian home on the shores of Lake Garda, making off with high-end jewellery, cash, and designer watches valued at around £80,000.

Reports indicate the intruders forced entry through a window, ransacking the property and stealing luxury items, including a Patek Philippe watch. Authorities suspect the raid was carried out by an organised group familiar with the family’s routines.

A police source told the Daily Mail, “We believe the gang have been observing him and his family and planned the break-in for when he was away in Rome.”

The £2 million villa is located in Salo, a picturesque town in northern Italy known for its lakeside views and historical links to World War II leader Benito Mussolini. Interestingly, Vardy’s teammate at Cremonese, Romana Mussolini, is the great-grandson of the former dictator.

Since Vardy’s move to Serie A newcomers Cremonese, he and Rebekah have been settling into life in Italy, frequently seen strolling through town or dining at local restaurants. Friends say the couple have been enthusiastically embracing the culture and even picking up the language.

A source told The Sun, “Jamie and Becky are loving life in Italy and are doing everything to fit in with the local community.”

Italian police are continuing their investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and monitoring the activities of known gangs around Lake Garda. No arrests have been reported so far, and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.
