Shatta Wale Reflects on Nigerian Music Triumph and Calls for Unity in Ghana’s Music Scene.

Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, recently shared his thoughts on the accomplishments of Nigerian musicians, highlighting their success and influence on the global stage. He pointed out the remarkable achievements of Nigerian artists, particularly citing Asake’s triumphant debut at the O2 Arena.

Shatta Wale drew a comparison between the music industries of Ghana and Nigeria, describing the Ghanaian scene as a “feeding bottle” while likening the Nigerian scene to a “Hennessy bottle,” emphasizing the significant disparity in their impact.

Taking to his Twitter account, Shatta Wale extended congratulations to Asake for the sold-out show at the O2 Arena. In his message, he acknowledged the impressive strides made by Nigerian musicians and the momentum they have gained in the international music arena.

While celebrating Nigeria’s achievements, Shatta Wale also addressed the need for unity within Ghana’s music community. He encouraged his fellow Ghanaian artists to refrain from judging each other harshly and instead work together to elevate the local music scene.

With a mix of admiration for Nigeria’s success and a call for collaboration in Ghana, Shatta Wale’s message sparks conversations about the regional music industry and its potential for growth and unity.

Ahmed Oloade, better recognized as Asake, achieved a groundbreaking milestone on Sunday evening, becoming the inaugural Nigerian newcomer to sell out the remarkable 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London, UK.

The pinnacle of Asake’s recent concert at the O2 was his grand entrance, capturing attention and awe from the audience. The singer made a spectacular arrival onto the stage, descending from a helicopter suspended within the auditorium, adding an unforgettable touch to the event.

During his performance, he treated the audience to a captivating blend of tracks from his first album, ‘Mr Money With The Vibe,’ as well as selections from his second venture, ‘Work Of Art.’ The stage came alive even more when he introduced his fellow YBNL record label companion, Fireboy DML, along with Lil Kesh and an array of other talented artists.
