Nollywood actor Monsuru Ayanfe has shared a memorable encounter he once had with actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele on a movie set.
Speaking in an interview with media host Jeff Owolewa on YouTube, Monsuru revealed that he accidentally damaged Funke’s new car while attempting to park it during a film shoot. He recalled how upset she was at the time, but also noted that she has a way of softening up once her anger cools.
“Funke is someone who can get angry quickly, but once she calms down, she apologizes. Even if she reacts harshly, she later retraces her steps and makes peace,” he said.
Monsuru also reflected on the early days of his acting journey, particularly his working relationship with fellow actor and producer Femi Adebayo. He disclosed that he was paid ₦5,000 at the start of his career but wasn’t discouraged because of his deep passion for the craft.
“I was collecting ₦5,000 when I started working with Femi Adebayo. I didn’t mind the amount because of the passion and love I had for acting,” he explained.
