Ezinne and Sokie’s love story demonstrates that when it comes to love, you can never say never.

The two met at university, and the closer Sokie got, the further Ezinne pushed him away. If only she knew she couldn’t fight love forever. They reconnected via Instagram DM after some time had passed. Ezinne finally gave love a chance, and it turned out to be the best decision she’d ever made. The sweethearts have finally found their happily ever after! Their pre-wedding photos are stunning! We are overjoyed that love triumphed for Ezinne and Sokie!

Enjoy their pre-wedding photos and love story below:

How we met,
By the bride Ezinne:

Our love story exemplifies the adage “Never say Never.” He was a medical student, and I was a nursing student at the same university. Even though he claimed to know me at university, I didn’t really know him. Years after university, he was in my DM for what seemed like an eternity (3 years or more), and if you know me, you know that trying to get my attention on social media is nearly impossible. I used to think that meeting people on social media was a joke and that I would never take that person seriously. In fact, I used to make funny faces when I saw people on social media sharing their love stories about how they met.

We eventually exchanged phone numbers, and he began calling. Let’s just say I made it hard for him to like me. Uncle didn’t give in; perhaps he put me on a timer because he does this thing where he checks in with me every 6 months or so. I suppose it was to see if I was still single. Fast forward to when I was single, and I reposted a funny educating video of Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo on my story, in which he stated that ladies will complain about being single if their Instagram account is private. He also mentioned how some ladies are the first to leave church without even sharing the grace and how some are unapproachable.

He commented on it and accused me, claiming that I was responsible for what pastor Kingsley was saying. I laughed, which surprised me. Interestingly, I said, because who told him I was complaining about being single? I was about to lash out, but I realized he was just trying to make small talk. So we resumed our conversation. The communication and connection felt magical this time, as if we had known each other for eons. The rest, as they say, is history.
