Denzel Curry, a prominent lyricist, stepped into the expected “Grammy snub” conversation when nominations were announced on Tuesday, and with only a few exceptions, he claims the Recording Academy missed once more.

With the exception of the first two nominees, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, DJ Khaled, Jack Harlow, and Future, Denzel insisted he could name 10 acts more deserving of slots in the category, and he did!

He claimed he believes the Grammys are more concerned with money, mainstream performers, and “half-ass s**t” than true culture, citing fellow MCs Freddie Gibbs, Joey Bada$$, JID, and Smino as obvious snubs.

Despite the fact that Denzel’s critically praised 2022 film “Melt My Eyez See Your Future” similarly failed to garner any awards, the Florida rapper claims that his outburst was motivated by something greater than himself.

If the Academy is interested, DC had one more thing to say in her favor: she gave GloRilla her due because her song “FNF (Let’s Go)” is nominated for “Best Rap Performance.” little steps?

Harvey Mason Jr., the CEO of the Recording Academy, declared last year that the organization was getting rid of the contentious secret voting committees, but the snubs are nonetheless particularly painful for those who care the most.
