As the court session regarding the Kano Emirates dispute unfolds, heightened security measures are evident in and around the Federal High Court complex situated on Court Road in Kano. The nationwide strike organized by labour unions over the minimum wage has impacted the proceedings at the Federal High Court in Kano, specifically concerning the restraining order related to the reinstatement of Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II as Emir.

Previously, a Federal High Court in Kano had issued an injunction preventing the Kano State Government from implementing the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law.

Justice Mohammed Liman granted this injunction based on an application submitted by Aminu Babba Dan Agundi, the Sarkin Dawaki Babba of the Kano Emirate.

According to reports from Daily Trust, Law enforcement officers and agents from the Department of State Services (DSS) have strategically stationed their vehicles around the court premises, controlling vehicular movement.

Furthermore, traffic has been redirected from Court Road to Zoo Road and the Gyadi-Gyadi area.
