Ryan Garcia has no regrets about the outcome of his Saturday night fight against Gervonta Davis, admitting that Davis won comfortably.
In the aftermath of the fight, however, a hugely contentious story has emerged, with Garcia accusing one of his former sparring partners of being a mole.
Tsendbaatar Erdenebat was the individual in question, and he has now sought to clarify his own position following reports that he provided sensitive information to Gervonta Davis’ camp prior to the fight.
Garcia was knocked out by a body shot from Davis, though some argue that the blow wasn’t powerful enough to end the fight.
Teddy Atlas, Mike Tyson’s former trainer, disagreed, stating that a well-executed liver punch can be devastating, but some believe Garcia entered the fight with a health problem.

Tsendbaatar admits he hurt Garcia in sparring
A fighter chooses sparring partners during a pre-fight camp to help him prepare for his upcoming fight.
If you’re going up against a notoriously powerful southpaw, you’d bring in similar fighters to spar with.
Garcia chose Erdenebat to assist him in preparing for Davis, but the Mongolian fighter reportedly caught Garcia with a body shot that injured him.
“Yesterday, Ryan Garcia was defeated by Tank Davis. He was hit in the body and died as a result. “Ryan was injured before this fight,” Erdenebat said in a video.
“I posted a video on social media today about his injury; it was an apology for injuring him prior to this fight; it happened during a sparring session, and as a result of that, he was injured.”
“I hit him in the body and he got injured, Ryan went to the hospital, and I went home with half my salary, and I got fired from sparring.”
With this information in hand, some in Garcia’s camp believe the decision to fire him enraged the former Olympic boxer.
As a result, he went to Tank Davis’ camp and told them about the physical weakness that their fighter could exploit by changing his tactics.
