After a security scare, Ugandan police briefly closed a busy expressway connecting the capital, Kampala, to the country’s main airport on Wednesday.
According to police tweets, a bomb squad was deployed to conduct an investigation along the Entebbe expressway before it was cleared for public use.

Motorists were diverted to an old road near the expressway until the investigation was completed and normal traffic flow was restored.
“We want to thank our bomb squad and crisis intervention teams… After the suspicious object was removed, the highway was reopened “police stated
The Chinese-funded expressway opened in 2018 and is the country’s first toll road.
