A much-anticipated movie is set to hit cinemas nationwide soon.

Renowned Nigerian actor Uzor Arukwe will headline the cast of the Nollywood zombie flick, Alive Till Dawn, marking his return to the screen after his recent role in the groundbreaking film, A Tribe Called Judah.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the project in a recent interview, Arukwe described Alive Till Dawn as a refreshing departure from his previous works, emphasizing his eagerness to explore new creative horizons. “I have always sought out projects that offer a unique storytelling experience. This one truly excites me,” he shared.

The brainchild of Leo Obienyi, who previously served as executive producer and story writer for Road to Jabi, a 2022 short film centered around zombies, Alive Till Dawn promises to be a full-length feature film, scripted by Daisy Olowu, and set against the backdrop of Abuja.

The movie’s synopsis sets the stage for a gripping narrative: “In the midst of a zombie virus outbreak, an unlikely coalition forms as civilians, law enforcement officers, and criminals unite within the confines of a besieged police station. Throughout the night, they must navigate through hordes of undead adversaries, striving to escape the building and reach a rumored sanctuary, lest they succumb to the very horrors they battle against.”

While the full cast lineup is yet to be revealed, the project is currently in its pre-production phase, with further announcements expected in due course.
