Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior recently took to X to share his thoughts after missing out on the 2024 Ballon d’Or award. Expectations were high for the Brazilian star, with many believing he had a strong chance to claim this year’s prestigious title.

However, just hours before the ceremony, reports surfaced indicating that no Real Madrid players or officials would attend the event in Paris. This was fueled by speculation that another player was favored to win the award over Vinicius.

Following the official announcement, Vinicius expressed his determination on social media, saying, “I’ll do it 10x if I have to. They are not ready.” His words reflect his unwavering commitment to the game despite the setback.

Manchester City’s Rodri was ultimately named the winner during the event held at the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. This year’s Ballon d’Or not only celebrated individual talents but also acknowledged the outstanding contributions of clubs and managers to football over the past year.

In addition to Vinicius and Rodri, other nominees for the 2024 Ballon d’Or included Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden from Manchester City, and Nigerian player Ademola Lookman. While many made their mark in the football world, only a select few walked away with coveted awards.

The ceremony also featured other prestigious accolades, including the Kopa Trophy for the best young player and the Yashin Trophy for the top goalkeeper, highlighting the diverse talents in the sport.
