Reality TV personality and singer Uriel Oputa has opened up about the lifestyle choices she credits for her youthful appearance at 37—choices she says are rooted in peace, wellness, and being intentional with her daily habits.
In a candid Instagram post, Uriel explained that avoiding unnecessary stress is her number one rule. “When people say I look young for my age, I’m like, ‘Obviously,’” she wrote. “Because I’m not doing even half of what some people are doing to themselves.”
She broke it down further: “Stress? If you bring it, I walk away. I don’t argue, I don’t beg. My peace comes first, and my cortisol levels stay low.”
When it comes to skincare, Uriel keeps it simple and smart. “No random mixtures from social media. Just sunscreen, Vitamin C, and shea butter—that’s my holy trinity. I rarely wear makeup, maybe lip gloss. My skin isn’t under pressure every weekend.”
Her wellness routine starts from the inside. She swears by her daily ginger and turmeric shots to fight inflammation and sticks to meals that nourish. “Complex carbs, lean protein, and dark chocolate—because balance matters. I eat once or twice a day and drink lots of water.”
Uriel also believes less is more when it comes to friendships. “Too much drama will age you faster than smoking. I don’t do large cliques. My circle is small, and peaceful.”
She gets regular health checks every few months, prioritizes gut health with homemade detox juices, and sticks to a consistent workout routine. “Sweating is skincare too,” she added.
Most importantly, she doesn’t try to keep up with anyone. “I live within my means. If I can’t afford it, I don’t need it. Peace is the real luxury.”
Uriel’s approach? Mindful, minimal, and rooted in self-respect—and that’s her secret to aging like fine wine.
