Nigerian singer Praiz has opened up about his thoughts on dating, saying he’s perfectly fine with women making the first move.

Speaking on a recent episode of Hot Takes, the Rich and Famous singer discussed how people react to rejection, noting that many struggle when romantic feelings aren’t returned.

According to him, rejection isn’t always a bad thing — sometimes it’s a way of being spared from situations that may not be right. He encouraged both men and women to handle such experiences without bitterness.

Praiz also pointed out that women often show interest in subtle ways, such as liking photos or engaging with social media posts, rather than approaching directly. He stressed the importance of emotional resilience in relationships, reminding people that not every romantic pursuit will be successful.

“Not everyone can handle rejection,” he said. “And it’s not just women — some men also find it hard. Sometimes, it could just be God saving you from the wrong situation. I have no problem with a woman making the first move.”

In a related story, comedian Chibuike Josh Alfred, better known as Josh2funny, revealed that he has never asked a woman out — not even his wife. Speaking in an interview with Naija FM, he explained that in all his past relationships, it was always the women who took the first step.
