Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have both condemned the recent assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump, expressing their sadness over the attack.

On Sunday, Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, was swiftly moved to safety after a would-be assassin targeted him at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Netanyahu took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concern, emphasizing that Trump’s safety should not be left to chance. “Sara and I were deeply shocked by this second attempt on President Trump’s life and are relieved that it failed. However, we must ensure that such threats are addressed proactively,” Netanyahu stated. He also extended his support to Trump and his family, urging that all necessary measures be taken to prevent future attacks.

In a similar vein, President Zelenskyy expressed his relief that the suspect was quickly apprehended. “I’m glad to hear that Donald Trump is safe and unharmed. My thoughts are with him and his family. It’s crucial that we uphold the rule of law and reject political violence in all its forms. I hope everyone remains secure,” Zelenskyy wrote on X.
