Napoli, PSG, and Bayern Munich also maintain leads in their respective leagues

Arsenal has won five consecutive games in the English Premier League, while Barcelona leads Real Madrid by nine points in the Spanish La Liga.

Napoli, PSG, and Bayern Munich also lead their respective leagues, the Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1, and the German Bundesliga.

 

English Premier League

Arsenal extended their league-winning streak to five games with a 3-0 victory over Fulham.

Manchester City, the reigning champions of the last two years, continued their pursuit of Arsenal by defeating Crystal Palace 1-0.

Manchester United, one of the teams vying for a place in the Champions League, drew 0-0 with Southampton. Tottenham Hotspur defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1, while Newcastle United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1.

Liverpool, which defeated Manchester United with a historic 7-0 score last week in the Champions League quota race, disappointed its fans by losing 0-1 on the road to Bournemouth.

Arsenal maintains its league lead with 66 points at the end of the 27th week of the Premier League, while Manchester City has 61 points, Manchester United has 50 points with one game remaining, Tottenham has 48 points, Newcastle United has 44 points with two games remaining, and Liverpool has 42 points with one game remaining.

Spanish La Liga

Barcelona defeated Athletic Bilbao 1-0 to maintain their lead in the La Liga standings.

Real Madrid, the reigning champion, defeated Espanyol 3-1.

In the final match of the week, Atletico Madrid will play Girona away.

After the 25th week of La Liga, Barcelona had 65 points, Real Madrid had 56 points, and Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad were third and fourth, both 20 points behind Barcelona.

Italian Serie A

After ending an eight-game winning streak against Lazio last week, Napoli defeated Atalanta 2-0 this week.

Inter’s point difference with Napoli has increased to 18 after losing 1-2 to Spezia.

Lazio and Bologna drew 0-0, while Roma fell 3-4 to Sassuolo.

In the final match of the week, defending champion Milan will face Salernitana.

Napoli led Serie A at the end of Week 26 with 68 points, followed by Inter with 50 points, Lazio with 49 points, Milan with 47 points, and Roma with 47 points.

German Bundesliga

Bayern Munich, the reigning champion for the last ten years, maintained its lead by defeating Augsburg 5-3.

Borussia Dortmund drew 2-2 with Schalke and fell further behind in the title race.

Leipzig defeated Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 in the championship race. Union Berlin, the season’s surprise contender, drew 1-1 with Wolfsburg, while Freiburg defeated Hoffenheim 2-1.

Bayern Munich led the Bundesliga with 52 points at the end of the 24th week, followed by Borussia Dortmund with 50 points. Leipzig, Union Berlin, and Freiburg finished third, fourth, and fifth, with 45 points each.

French Ligue 1

Paris Saint-Germain maintained their league lead with a 2-1 victory over Brest, thanks to a last-minute goal by French star Kylian Mbappe.

The runner-up, Olympique Marseille, drew 2-2 with Strasbourg.

Lens, on the other hand, rebounded with a convincing 4-0 away win over Clermont.

PSG maintained its lead with 66 points at the end of the league’s 27th week. Olympique Marseille was second with 56 points, followed by Lens with 54.
