Pogba is in a battle against time to be ready when France’s World Cup campaign begins on November 22 against Australia.

Since moving to the Allianz Stadium from Manchester United on a free transfer this summer, the midfielder has yet to make an appearance for the Italian powerhouses.

After selecting his team, Deschamps spoke before the Nations League matches against Austria and Denmark and reaffirmed that Pogba will only make his final World Cup squad if the midfielder is healthy and on fire.

He won’t come only because he’s a “framework,” according to Deschamps.

“It is worthless if he hasn’t played before and isn’t at his best.” He doesn’t want it, himself.

Although Pogba’s participation in the World Cup is unimportant to Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of the Italian team, expects him to be fully fit by January.

Deschamps would have plenty of midfield options to replace if Pogba, who was a crucial member of France’s winning side in Russia in 2018, were to miss out.

There are questions regarding the health of N’Golo Kante as well as youthful talents Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga

Deschamps was also questioned over the strange claims made by Mathias Pogba, the midfielder for Juventus, who claimed the midfielder used a witch doctor to cast a spell on Kylian Mbappe, the star forward for PSG and France.

Everyone is allowed to believe in whatever they wish, the French executive declared. It can make some individuals feel better, but I’m not here to pass judgment.

Pogba has also stated that, despite recent accusations made against him, he is doing well.
