Drake had a hectic 2022, which included being arrested.
On New Year’s Eve, the rapper shared a gallery of images from the previous year, including previously unseen footage of him being detained by Swedish authorities, confirming last summer’s internet reports.
He shared a message to end the year in his caption. “The funds are useful / The lyrics are true / The suspects are common / The opportunities are delusory / The finish line is lovely / And the disdain is mutual / See you in 23.”
Two police officers are seen in the video holding Drake’s arms and leading him to a police car.

Drake was allegedly arrested on marijuana-related charges in July while partying at a Stockholm nightclub. His team, however, denied the report, claiming Drake was at his hotel and had not been arrested. During the speculation, the hashtag #FreeDrake began trending on Twitter.
Drake made a reference to his arrest on “Middle of the Ocean” from Her Loss, rapping, “Swedish jail cell, smellin’ like some Carby Musk.”
During a previous photo dump in July, he shared a one-page handout titled “Information for Those Suspected of a Crime and Subsequently Detained” from Swedish police, which listed his rights.
Champagne Papi spent a portion of his vacation in the Caribbean on the island of St. Barts. He performed at the UNICEF winter gala and rang in the new year with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire on a yacht.
Drake reflected on the past year last month while revealing his New Year’s resolution, which includes a tour with 21 Savage. “My new year’s resolution is to free up my brother 21 Savage so that we can hit the road and go on tour,” he said. “They need to get my brother out of all that travel nonsense so we can go see the people because I can’t see the world without him.”
