Actor and comedian Funny Face has been granted bail in the amount of GH¢120,000 along with two sureties by the Kasoa Akweley District court. This development follows his two-week remand for being involved in an accident where he hit five pedestrians with his Hyundai Atos car at Kakraba junction in Kasoa on Sunday, March 24.

Funny Face made his first court appearance on March 26 following his arrest in connection with the accident.

Recent updates reveal that the case was discussed privately on Tuesday, April 9, with the prosecution updating the court on the health status of the victims. It’s reported that four of the victims have been discharged from the hospital, while one, who was initially in critical condition, is now on the path to recovery.

Upon meeting the bail conditions, Funny Face will be released from police custody, pending further legal proceedings. The case has been adjourned to May 10 for further deliberation.

The comedian, whose real name is Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, was apprehended on the evening of Sunday, March 24, after the unfortunate accident at Kakraba, Kasoa, which involved five individuals, including a mother and her children. He was subsequently brought before the court on Tuesday, March 26, facing charges of drunk driving and careless driving.
