Love truly has a mind of its own—showing up when no one expects it. For Kemi, it happened right in the middle of planning her friend’s wedding. Between schedules, checklists, and last-minute details, something unexpected slipped into her world. That “something” was Seyi, the best man who couldn’t take his eyes off her from the moment they met.
Instead of rushing in, he played it smart. He asked a mutual friend to introduce them, hoping she would give him a chance. Kemi wasn’t quick to open the door at first, but Seyi’s calm charm, humor, and genuine effort slowly melted every doubt. Even with distance between their cities, he stayed intentional—calls, visits, thoughtful gestures, everything that keeps two hearts close.
Two beautiful years later, Seyi proposed, and Kemi said the sweetest “yes.” And now, their story has reached a new chapter: a colourful Yoruba traditional wedding where love met culture in the most elegant way. Their outfits were breathtaking, each one reflecting heritage, style, and pure grace. With every step of the traditional rites, they sealed their bond and became one.
Their photos tell the rest of the story—warm, magical, and full of that quiet kind of love that grows deeper with every moment.

How We Met
By the Groom, Seyi:
I first met Kemi from Victoria Brooks Events while she was in full wedding-planner mode, organizing her close friend’s big day. I happened to be the best man, and I couldn’t help but notice her talent, dedication, and effortless charm as she coordinated every detail.
I asked the bride to introduce us. At first, Kemi was a little hesitant—after all, we lived in different cities—but she agreed to be friends. I like to think my humor, support, and genuine interest during the wedding helped break the ice.
After that day, our paths kept crossing through mutual friends, and spending time together felt natural. What started as friendship quickly grew deeper as we discovered how much we had in common. A few months later, I knew I wanted to build a future with her. Even with distance between us, our commitment, consistency, and intentional effort kept us close.
Two years filled with laughter, love, and countless memories later, I asked Kemi to marry me—and she said yes!
