During the late night hours on Thursday, Lil Uzi Vert shared a preview of a song from their highly anticipated album, The Pink Tape. The artist went live on Instagram and played an energetic snippet that generated a lot of excitement in the comments section.

In the live stream, Uzi also confirmed that The Pink Tape will be released by the end of June, fulfilling a recent promise. They expressed their eagerness, stating that they couldn’t delay it any longer and that even if they had to release it independently, it would come out before the month ends.

In 2020, Lil Uzi Vert released their second studio album, Eternal Atake, under the Generation Now label. The album consisted of 18 tracks and featured a collaboration with Syd. It debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, selling 288,000 album-equivalent units. Shortly after, Uzi continued their momentum with Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2, a 14-song project that served as a sequel to 2016’s Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World and a deluxe edition of Eternal Atake. The upgrade received positive feedback and included appearances from Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Young Thug, Gunna, Lil Durk, Young Nudy, and more.

Not satisfied with just two full-length projects, Lil Uzi Vert joined forces with Future in the same year for the collaborative album Pluto × Baby Pluto. Following the pattern, Pluto × Baby Pluto reached the second position on the Billboard chart and had a deluxe edition with eight additional tracks. In 2022, the rapper released RED & WHITE, a nine-song project meant to keep fans engaged until The Pink Tape’s release.
