“I’ll make it up to you, Montreal,” the Special singer said on Thursday.
Lizzo is unable to perform in Montreal on Thursday. The musician posted a video on Instagram hours before her scheduled performance to inform fans that she would be unable to perform that night due to illness.
“Montreal I’m sorry, but I’m physically unable to perform at the show. “I promise we will honor your tickets,” Lizzo captioned a video of herself wearing a face mask from under a blanket.
“I went to bed last night with a sore throat and a headache.” “I woke up this morning with a weak body, chills, and a headache,” Lizzo explained. “Normally, if I have a cold, I shower, eat, take some medicine, and it goes away.” But this is not the case.
Lizzo believes she has the flu and emphasizes that this is only the second time in her career that she has canceled a show due to illness. She also stated on Twitter that she had a temperature of more than 100 degrees.
“I’m afraid I’m going to have to cancel today… “I’ll make it up to you, Montreal,” she promised. “I’m truly sorry.”
Lizzo was scheduled to perform Thursday at the Bell Centre in Montreal. She’s also scheduled to perform in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, but it’s unclear whether she’ll be able to do so.
“As per doctor’s orders, Lizzo is unable to perform tonight at the Bell Centre,” Evenko, the event organizer, said in a statement to CBC. “More information about the new date will be released soon.”
The singer is about halfway through the third leg of her Special Tour, which has stops scheduled in the United States through June 2. She’ll visit Australia and New Zealand in July before wrapping up her tour in Japan on July 30.
