President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following a significant trip to China and a brief stay in the United Kingdom.

According to Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu departed for Beijing on August 29 and began his official visit on September 2.

During his time in China, President Tinubu engaged in high-level talks with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, resulting in the signing of five important agreements between Nigeria and China. He also participated in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC) in Beijing, where, as ECOWAS Chairman, he delivered a key address on global peace, emphasizing the importance of multilateralism and cooperation.

The President concluded his visit in China with a meeting with representatives of the Nigerian diaspora in China. He highlighted the ongoing reforms in Nigeria and expressed his hope that these changes will lead to improvements in infrastructure, power supply, and education, drawing inspiration from China’s advancements.

From China, President Tinubu traveled to London for a meeting with King Charles III, focusing on climate change and collaborative actions for environmental sustainability.
