Refund scheme to cover all 19,618 tickets in Liverpool’s allocation at Stade de France

UEFA confirmed on Tuesday that it will refund Liverpool fans who attended last season’s Champions League final against Real Madrid in Paris.

“All fans with tickets for gates A, B, C, X, Y, and Z, where the most difficult circumstances were reported, will be eligible for refunds. Furthermore, all fans who did not enter the stadium before 21:00 CEST (the originally scheduled kick-off time), or who were unable to enter the stadium at all, will be eligible for a refund “UEFA issued a statement.

“Finally, UEFA will provide refunds to all fans who purchased accessibility tickets, as well as those of their accompanying persons,” the statement continued.

The special refund scheme will cover all 19,618 of Liverpool FC’s Final ticket allocation.

The Champions League final was delayed for more than 30 minutes on Saturday night due to late-arriving fans. Thousands of supporters were stuck in lines as security teams struggled to handle the ticketless crowd. Due to fake tickets, the metal gates were jammed, and several supporters broke through the security cordons to enter the stadium, prompting police to use tear gas.

Last year, Real Madrid won the Champions League thanks to Vinicius Junior’s goal.
