Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Nigeria, has had a number of flights canceled after a plane crash-landed and disabled the runway.
Tyre bursts occurred on the Max Air 737-400 flight on Sunday when it arrived in Abuja from Yola in the northeastern Adamawa state.
According to Max Air management, the 143 passengers, one child, and six crew members on board were all safely evacuated. There were no casualties.
According to local media, the event has resulted in numerous flight cancellations and delays nationwide.
Since then, the plane has been moved, and according to the officials, the runway is being cleared for reopening.
There are allegedly still a lot of travelers stuck at the airport.
