Regina Daniels recently opened up about a promise she kept to herself—saving her virginity for marriage with her husband, politician Ned Nwoko. Reflecting on past relationships, the Nollywood star addressed the recent buzz around her earlier comment about having 20 “boyfriends” before marriage.
During a live chat, Regina mentioned having several suitors who each brought something different to her life before she settled down. She explained, “When I started with my husband, I honestly forgot about the whole ‘boyfriend’ thing. Before that, I had like 20 boyfriends—each with a different vibe or purpose. Some people assume I didn’t have choices or that my mom pressured me into my marriage, which couldn’t be further from the truth.”
In a follow-up post, Regina clarified her intention: the comment was meant to reassure her husband and serve as a lesson to young women. She stressed that just because someone has male friends or admirers willing to lend a hand doesn’t mean they owe them anything in return. She proudly added that she had many admirers but kept a personal promise to stay a virgin until marriage.
With a playful tone, Regina added, “So, yes, I did have a lot of admirers, but I kept my vow. It’s a big flex! And come on—what did you expect? It’s me, Regina Daniels; of course, people would admire me. So let’s all relax, shall we?”
