The former president of the United States claims to have enjoyed rapper Ye’s recent interview with Fox News’ most popular prime-time host, Tucker Carlson.
Radio presenter Larry O’Connor questioned Trump this week about recent antisemitic remarks the musician, formerly known as Kanye West, had made online and in other media appearances.
“He’s been saying some extremely nasty things lately about Jewish people, Jewish Americans in general, and about your own son-in-law, Jared Kushner. How would you respond to that? The radio host questioned Trump, “Is this the guy that you knew?
I haven’t really paid attention to the statements he has made, though. I did watch the Tucker Carlson interview, and I thought he treated me quite well. Beyond anyone, he was… wonderful to me and the MAGA movement, which was pretty astounding,” the former president replied.
Ye conducted a lengthy interview with Carlson last week and made a number of contentious remarks, including that he thought Kushner’s Middle East endeavors during Trump’s administration were designed to make him money.
The rapper and fashion designer discussed “fake children” invading his home in different segments of the interview, which Fox did not run but which Vice was able to secure.
Ye gained attention on Monday when he revealed that he had bought Parler, a modest social media platform hailed by some conservatives as a viable alternative to more established social media sites.
