In order to prevent Nigerians from becoming victims of counterfeit Naira notes, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released the security features of the redesigned Naira notes.
Concerns were growing among Nigerians about duplicitous elements taking advantage of the situation by counterfeiting the new notes. This release of security features, on the other hand, comes as a relief to everyone.
The public security features of the new CBN 200, 500, and 1,000 banknotes are illustrated in the photos below:
The current series of 200, 500, and 1,000 notes are legal tender until January 31, 2023.
