Cassie Ventura, popularly known as Cassie, recently shared a heartfelt message, expressing her gratitude for the support she has received and highlighting the critical issue of domestic violence.
In her statement, Cassie thanked everyone who reached out to her after CNN released exclusive footage showing Diddy assaulting her in a hotel. “Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet. The outpouring of love has given my younger self a place to feel safe, but this is just the beginning. Domestic violence is a serious issue. It broke me down in ways I never imagined. Through hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past,” she shared.
Cassie stressed the importance of taking domestic violence seriously and urged people to believe victims the first time they come forward. “Thank you to everyone who has taken this matter seriously. My only ask is that everyone opens their hearts to believe victims the first time. It takes a lot of courage to speak the truth about a situation where you felt powerless.”
She also offered support to those still living in fear, encouraging them to reach out to loved ones and not isolate themselves. “To those still living in fear, I offer my hand. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone.”
Acknowledging her ongoing healing journey, Cassie emphasized the importance of the support she has received. “This healing journey is never-ending, but the support means everything to me. Thank you.”
