England head coach Gareth Southgate has finalized his squad for Euro 2024, dropping seven players, including Manchester City’s Jack Grealish and Tottenham Hotspur’s James Madison. Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, currently dealing with fitness issues, was also omitted.

The other players excluded from the squad are Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), James Trafford (Burnley), Curtis Jones (Liverpool), and Jarrell Quansah (Liverpool), all of whom were part of Southgate’s provisional squad. Despite playing in England’s recent friendly win over Bosnia And Herzegovina, Grealish and Madison failed to impress Southgate.

Following his exclusion, Madison removed England from his Instagram bio and issued a statement expressing his disappointment. He acknowledged his form post-injury may not have met expectations but remained confident of returning to the squad in the future.

The final England Euro 2024 Squad comprises:

Goalkeepers: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal).

Defenders: Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Joe Gomez (Liverpool), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Ezri Konsa (Aston Villa), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Manchester United), John Stones (Manchester City), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle), Kyle Walker (Manchester City).
