According to Bloomberg, Apple and OpenAI are in advanced discussions to integrate OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology into the iPhone, potentially enhancing the device with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. The talks are progressing towards finalizing the inclusion of ChatGPT features in Apple’s upcoming iOS 18, the next operating system for iPhones.
If the negotiations are successful, Apple could introduce the popular chatbot as part of its new suite of AI features expected to debut next month.
Additionally, Apple is reportedly exploring a separate agreement with Google’s Alphabet Inc. to license its Gemini chatbot. However, there has been no confirmation of a finalized deal amid ongoing discussions.
