Hillary Clinton, a former secretary of state, stated on Sunday that she thinks Donald Trump should be treated the same as any other American in the Department of Justice’s investigation into his alleged misuse of sensitive information.
“We do have certain specific exceptions for someone really in the office, but he’s not the president, so. So, I do believe that if there is proof, it should be followed, just like it would for any American, Clinton said to CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union.”
But I am aware that it’s not a simple decision. I, therefore, don’t want to add my perspective to that challenging calculation. I don’t have all the information because. And unlike those who make snap judgments, I don’t want to.
But if the evidence indicates or seems to indicate that charges ought to be brought, then, in my opinion, everyone should be subject to the law, added Clinton.
