His former chef served legal papers on Lil Wayne.
Morgan Medlock claims that she was sacked when she left the rapper earlier this year to attend to a family emergency. Weezy’s personal chef claims in the lawsuit, which TMZ has received, that she was fired during a vacation to Las Vegas after working for him for over two years.
She learned that her 10-year-old kid had suffered a brain injury when she was vacationing in Vegas for Memorial Day and was now in the hospital. She believes that Wayne delayed things, particularly by smoking on the plane, as she hurried to return to Los Angeles.
She went on a different plane and informed Wayne’s assistant of the situation rather than waiting for a flight to return home. She naively believed they would comprehend, so she was taken aback when they fired her.
When Wayne’s team began asking her if she was leaving after she left Vegas, she repeatedly replied “no.” She attempted to resume her duties as head chef after dealing with her son, but Wayne’s team was unable to work with her.
Wayne later sent her a note saying, “Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work,” informing her in writing that she had been fired. Medlock is claiming wrongful termination, retribution, and several illegal actions.
According to her, the termination was illegal under California law, which forbids terminating someone for being absent from work in order to care for a sick or injured child. She is requesting damages of at least $500,000.
