Sam Williams, a rookie defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, was in an automobile accident on Thursday in Texas, according to TMZ Sports.
The 23-year-old football player was driving a black Corvette at around 2:15 p.m. when he collided with another vehicle that had attempted to make a turn in front of oncoming traffic in Plano, which is close to the team complex in Frisco.
Police claim that neither Williams nor the other driver suffered major injuries, but both were taken to a local hospital for examination.
Police said there is no evidence that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision. A probe is still being conducted.
