A new study by Adobe Express reveals that men spend more time than women editing their social media photos. With Brits spending an average of just over two hours per week on social media, Adobe Express surveyed 2,000 people to see who spends the longest online and how they can save time on their profiles using AI.
How Long Do Brits Spend Editing Social Media Posts?
On average, Brits spend 2 hours and 18 minutes per week editing their social media posts and images. The most common time spent is between one to three hours (20% of Brits). Men tend to spend longer editing their feeds than women, averaging 2 hours 23 minutes a week, while women spend about 2 hours 12 minutes.
The biggest editors, averaging 2 hours 26 minutes, are those aged 16-24.
Potential Time and Money Savings with AI
Adobe Express also examined how much time and money Brits could save by using AI for social media editing. By utilizing AI, Brits could save an average of 55 minutes per week, translating to significant annual savings based on median wages.
Men, who spend 11 more minutes editing online, could save around £895 annually, £186 more than women. A quarter of men (25%) have tried AI for social media editing, with 13% indicating they would use it again. Meanwhile, 14% of women have used AI for their profiles, and almost 24% are considering it for the future.
