Comedian Seyi Law recently shared that he experienced a significant drop in his social media following, losing over 200,000 followers while advocating for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 election campaign. Despite this, Seyi Law emphasized that he prioritizes integrity over popularity.
During a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, Seyi Law highlighted the importance of acting with fairness and sincerity in all endeavors. He expressed, “The most important thing is that whatever you do, try as much as possible to ensure that you’re doing it from the right place. Whatever you do, are you sure that you are doing it from the right place? Is it fair to those concerned? If you’re not being fair, don’t do it.”
Seyi Law also credited Tinubu for fostering an environment conducive to the growth of the entertainment industry in Lagos. He acknowledged Tinubu’s role in making Lagos the thriving entertainment hub it is today.
In a separate development, Seyi Law disclosed his unresolved grievance with fellow comedian Noble Igwe. Seyi Law revealed that he harbors resentment towards Igwe for a past incident involving his wife. During the 2023 election campaign, Igwe mentioned Seyi Law’s wife in a social media post, leading to derogatory comments about her. Seyi Law firmly stated that he will not forgive Igwe until he apologizes for the disrespectful remarks.
Expressing his stance on the matter, Seyi Law asserted, “You can offend me however you want, but the moment you involve my family; my wife and children, you cross the line into hell. And I will leave heaven for that to sit with you in hell. So, Noble Igwe, know that I am sitting and waiting patiently for you in hell.”
