Today’s love birds are Sefe and Christopher! During the pandemic, they swiped right on a dating app and ended up building the sweet love that they have today.
Not only did their sweet love survive the pandemic, but it also resulted in the union of two beautiful cultures. Sefe and Christopher’s rich Edo and Delta-Igbo cultures were beautifully showcased in their vibrant traditional wedding ceremony. It was a stunning display of culture, and they both looked stunning in their outfits. The joy and love on their faces lit up the entire ceremony. Every photo shows how much these two adore each other.
Enjoy their traditional wedding photos and love story below:
How We Met
By the bride-to-be, Sefe:
We had a COVID love story. We swiped right during the pandemic, and a few months later, we both contracted COVID. We were quarantined together for three weeks, and the rest is history. We both knew by the end of those three weeks that we weren’t going anywhere. Chris proposed during a weekend getaway in San Diego.
When I saw the proposal setup, I told him to “get out of the way before you ruin someone’s big moment.” I was overjoyed to have a front-row seat to such a romantic set-up, not realizing that I was the one on stage. It was a lovely start to what has been a challenging yet rewarding journey thus far… a journey we hope to continue walking and tackling together.
