Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has expelled 175 students for various offenses, according to a statement from Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, the Director of University Relations.
The decision came after the Students’ Disciplinary Committee reviewed cases from October 2021 to March 2024. The expelled students faced penalties for offenses such as examination malpractice, theft, using fake results for admission, assault, fraud, association with unregistered groups, and possession of firearms.
Dr. Aliyu emphasized the university’s commitment to maintaining discipline, stating, “KWASU upholds a zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline and is dedicated to producing graduates who excel in both character and academics.”
