Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has revealed her plans for an early retirement, sharing insights into her career journey and aspirations.
During a recent episode of the CreativiTEA podcast, Nancy opened up about her long-standing work ethic, having taken on multiple jobs to make ends meet. Now, she has a clear goal in sight: financial security before stepping back from the spotlight.
“I’ve been working since I was 17, and early retirement is definitely the plan. I’m putting in all the work now so that by the time I retire—possibly earlier than expected—my portfolio and achievements will speak for themselves,” she explained.
Nancy also stressed the importance of appreciating the journey, rather than rushing to the finish line. “We often want to see the final results right away, but it’s so crucial to enjoy the process. I’m very intentional about soaking in every step of my journey because, in reality, you never truly arrive.”
Reflecting on her struggles, she added, “A lot of people think struggles are something to hide, but for me, they’re part of the story. If you go through my Instagram, you’ll see everything—nothing’s deleted. It’s like a memory book for me.”
Nancy drew a parallel between her journey and a biblical principle about building a strong foundation. “The Bible talks about building your foundation on solid rock, so when the storms come, it stands firm. That’s how I see my life and career—I’ve worked hard to build on a solid foundation, and it’s paying off.”
Isime’s journey continues to inspire, as she focuses on creating a legacy that will last long after her early retirement.
