Christian Atsu, the Ghanaian footballer who died in Turkey after an earthquake, will be buried on Friday in his home country.
Atsu was discovered dead after his apartment in southern Turkey collapsed due to the earthquake. He was a member of the Hatayspor club.
The state-sponsored funeral will take place in Accra, Ghana’s capital.

Thousands of mourners and well-wishers from Ghana and around the world will line up to pay their respects.
The winger appeared 65 times for Ghana and helped his country reach the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final.
The 31-year-old also played for Everton and Newcastle in the Premier League.
Atsu will be remembered for his humanity and support of the country’s underprivileged.
