On Monday morning, Kenyan riot police used tear gas to disperse opposition protesters in Nairobi’s city center.
On Kenyatta Avenue, there are ongoing clashes between police and demonstrators, some of whom are throwing stones at security officers.
Shops have closed due to fears of looting.
