CeeLo Green knows how to make a statement.
On Wednesday evening, the “Crazy” singer fell off a horse at a birthday party for the late Shawty Lo in Atlanta.
CeeLo is seen riding into The Bank venue on horseback before the horse panics and his handlers scramble to regain control. His back legs sag and buckle, knocking CeeLo to the ground. As CeeLo falls to the ground, the audience can be heard gasping.
However, he quickly recovered, rolling over before rising to his feet.

After the video went viral, social media poked fun at him. One person joked, “He rolled over like he was in a burning building,” while another compared his entrance to MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16.”
Many others felt sorry for the horse. “I have nothing against Ceelo, but bringing a horse in there was ridiculous.” “He got what he asked for,” read one comment on The Shade Room, while another pointed out that the “loud ass music and flashing lights” were not appropriate for a horse.
PETA has also spoken out against CeeLo. “It doesn’t take a genius to realize that horses don’t belong at a loud, crowded party, where slick floors and strobe lights can agitate these vulnerable animals,” the animal’s rights organization said in a statement to TMZ. “PETA is hoping that if CeeLo bumped his head, it knocked some sense and compassion into him.” PETA urges others not to follow in his footsteps, to use common sense and kindness, and to respect animals’ rights.”
CeeLo seemed unfazed by his mishap, reposting the video on his Instagram Story.
Shawty Lo, who was killed in a car accident in September 2016, was honored at the party. He would have been 47 years old.
