Manchester City star could face 6 penalty points on his driving license, $246 fine if found guilty
According to media reports on Wednesday, Manchester City star Erling Haaland is being investigated by police for allegedly using his cell phone while driving.
The British tabloid The Sun published an image purportedly showing Haaland holding his smartphone while driving his car.
The alleged incident occurred on March 15, near Manchester City’s home stadium, Etihad Stadium.
“I can confirm that GMP is aware of the image and is investigating,” said a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police.
The 22-year-old Norwegian forward faces a £200 ($246) fine and six penalty points if found guilty.
Haaland has 42 goals in 37 Sky Blues appearances so far.
