Jim Jones is refusing to give Pusha T flowers.
The Dipset frontman weighed in on Billboard’s list of the Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, which ranked the Clipse rapper at No. 29. But, according to Jones, he does not deserve to be in the top 50.
“Other than talk about coke that he probably didn’t get himself, what has he done to place himself among the greatest rappers of all time?” Jones inquired while debating with other panel members.

While he praised Pusha as a lyricist, he questioned his cultural impact.
“He’s as sweet as shit.” He could rap his a$$ off, but what has he accomplished?” Jones inquired. “No one has ever dressed like him. Nobody aspires to be Pusha T. I have no recollection of anything. And, to be fair, we don’t discuss rap in which the ni**a who’s popping the bitches wants to f**k and the ni**as want to be like. I don’t know too many ni**as in this game who aspire to be like Pusha T.”
“Pusha T isn’t carrying any weight out here.” “He’s not pushing anything out here,” Jones added, mentioning Bootleg Kev’s critically acclaimed 2018 album Daytona.
Jones continued by saying that he would “easily” choose Big Sean and Cam’ron over Pusha. “You go to these clubs, I have no idea what records they play in the club with Pusha T.” They don’t let him play outside.”
Jones’ friendship with Pusha T’s enemy Drake, who brought him and the Diplomats on stage during his show at the Apollo in January, may bias him.
Drake was recently named the greatest rapper of all time by Jones. “The relevance he maintains year after year, hit after hit, record after record.” “Every record he’s released has gone multi-platinum,” he told Complex. “That has never happened in this history.”
