Cameron Diaz finally returned to film the last scenes left on the ‘Back in Action’ Netflix film with Jamie Foxx’s double.
hile While Jamie Foxx remains in the hospital undergoing tests for a brain bleed, and production on his ‘Back in Action’ film has resumed, with Cameron Diaz filming scenes with the actor’s body double. The actress was seen in several scenes with the double, who looks a lot like Jamie Foxx; the actor’s name is reportedly Chris. McKenna Roberts also appeared in some scenes with the replacement, who can be seen filming a scene on the streets and another in a nightclub with both Diaz and Roberts. However, Chris’s appearance raises many questions about how the film editing will take place in order to keep Jamie Foxx’s face in those scenes.

This part of the production appears to be going well, as Cameron Diaz and McKenna Roberts appeared to be having fun with the double-between takes. The actress appeared to be laughing out loud several times in images obtained by both the New York Post and TMZ. This Chris double is not the same as the one who replaced Jamie Foxx last week. Travis is the stunt double, and he took the job on short notice to cover for the actor who had just had that medical emergency. Chris resembles Jamie Foxx a lot more than Travis; they’re probably doing more close-ups with this actor as he films these scenes with Diaz and McKenna.

Will ‘Back in Action’ use CGI dots on Chris?
CGI dots are used on actors and then fixed in post-production, a technology that is becoming more common as it evolves in cinema. This was used for characters such as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. According to reports, ‘Back in Action’ does not use these CGI dots on the double’s face. Something that has piqued our interest and raised even more questions. How will the director of ‘Back in Action’ replace Chris and Travis’ faces with Jamie Foxx’s? It all points to the decision by the production to use Chris as a face double and Travis as a body double. However, it’s unclear whether they’ll use Chris’ face for close-ups or find another way to get Jamie Foxx in there later.
