Kevin Costner and his wife of nearly 19 years, Christine Baumgartner, are divorcing, according to a representative for the actor.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond Mr. Costner’s control have resulted in Mr. Costner being forced to participate in a divorce,” Costner’s publicist Arnold Robinson said in a statement.
Costner and Baumgartner, a model and handbag designer, began dating in 1998 and married in 2004 at his Colorado ranch.
They have two sons, ages 14 and 15, as well as a 12-year-old daughter.
Costner, 68, the Oscar and Emmy-winning star of “Yellowstone” and films such as “Dances With Wolves,” “The Bodyguard,” and “Bull Durham,” was married for the second time.
Costner has four adult children from previous marriages.
